While VLynX HyperVideo productions execute directly from the CDROM, they do require that the system has the Microsoft DirectX Libraries properly installed. Occasionally the installation or upgrade of teh DirectX libraries will result in problems occuring.

These problems are generally caused by the DirectX updgrade installing incompatible hardware drivers for either the Sound Card or the Video Card that is in the viewers PC. If one of the following symptoms occurs after trying to run a VLynX HyperVideo production, then it is likely that Microsofts DirectX Installation has not run properly.

1. While Video is running properly, there is no longer any sound coming from the computer. SOLUTION
2. When the CDROM is placed in the computer, the screen turns black and shuts the application down. SOLUTION
3. When the CDROM is playing everything works properly but the video is distorted. SOLUTION
4. When the CDROM is placed in the computer, and Error Box appears on the screen. SOLUTION
